The Billericay Horticultural Society (The Society) holds personal data provided by its members and associates.
New Data Protection requirements are applicable to The Society under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which apply from 25th May 2018.
This document sets out the basis under which The Society holds and uses personal data, the policy of The Societyregarding the personal data held by The Society and defines responsibilities within The Society. It also covers how someone can check their personal data held by The Society and how they can request amendment or deletion of that data. Appropriate Articles of the GDPR are referenced.
2. Lawful Basis for The Society processing personal data
The lawful basis [GDPR Article 6] for The Society processing personal data is Consent;the individual has given clear consent to The Society to process their personal data for a specific purpose.
3. Personal Data held by The Society
The personal data held by The Society for members and associates shall be limited to at most: name, address, telephone numbers and email addresses.
4.Policy on Usage of Data
4.1 The personal data that is held by The Society shall only be used to meet the objectives of The Society.
4.2 The usage of the personal data by The Society shall be for routine communications within the Society concerning events, shows, bookings, and news.
4.3 We may share your information with external agencieslike the police, ambulance serviceand fire service in the event of an emergency.
4.4 Any usage of personal data held by The Society, other than as stated in 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 above, shall only be with the prior agreement of that person.
