5. Access to Data
5.1 Members and others can request to see what personal data The Society holds about them by contacting the Secretary of The Society [GDPR Article 15].
5.2 Members and others can request that The Society erases their personal data by contacting the Secretary of The Society [GDPR Article 17 – the right to be forgotten].
5.3 The Secretary shall respond to requests by individuals to see or modify their personal data held by The Society within the one month period as required by the GDPR.
6. Data Storage by The Society
6.1 The personal data held by The Society shall be accessible and modified only by a member of the Committee.
6.2 The personal data held by The Society shall be usable in accordance with Section 4 by the Committee.
6.3 The Society shall hold personal data in secure storage arrangements. Electronic data shall be held in a secure manner with appropriate security measures in place such as passwords.
6.4 The personal data held by The Society of those persons who cease to be members, or any member or associate of The Society who requests that their data be removed, shall be securely destroyed/erased.
7. Data Governance
7.1 The Committee Members of the Society have the function of Data Controller, as defined by the GDPR,and are responsible for the Data Policy.
7.2 The Committee Members shall review this policy from time to time confirm that it continues to be applicable,and, if necessary, update the Policy.
